Abstract:
This study investigates the levels of Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha (TNF-α) and Interleukin 10 (IL-10) in diabetic patients seeking medical care at a tertiary health clinic. Diabetes, a chronic metabolic disorder, is associated with systemic inflammation, and cytokines play a pivotal role in the intricate immunological mechanisms underlying this condition. Using a cross-sectional approach, blood samples from diabetic patients are analyzed to measure the concentrations of TNF-α, known for its pro-inflammatory effects, and IL-10, recognized for its anti-inflammatory properties. The study aims to elucidate the interplay between these cytokines in the context of diabetes, offering insights into the immune responses and potential implications for disease management.
