Private primary schools play a significant role in the education landscape of Nigeria, particularly in urban centers like Lagos State. This study investigates the access, funding sources, and quality indicators of private primary schools in Lagos State, Nigeria. By employing a mixed-methods approach that includes surveys, interviews, and data analysis, the research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics that shape the private primary education sector in this region.
The study reveals a diverse profile of private primary schools in Lagos State, catering to a range of socio-economic backgrounds. Access to these schools is examined in terms of enrollment patterns, geographical distribution, and factors influencing school choice.
